Daily Scripture
A new scripture each day, with reflection to help you carry God's word into your life. Proverbs 3:1-2 "My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity."
"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
James 4:8
This simple yet profound promise from James reminds us that the distance we sometimes feel from God is never on His side. He is always present, always near — waiting for us to turn toward Him. The act of drawing near is not about perfection or elaborate ritual. It is about intention. It is about choosing, in the quiet of the morning or the busyness of the afternoon, to orient your heart toward the One who made you.
Today, consider what it means to "draw near." Perhaps it is a moment of silent prayer. Perhaps it is opening your Bible and reading a single passage slowly. Perhaps it is simply whispering His name in the middle of your day. Whatever form it takes, know that your movement toward God — however small — is met with His movement toward you.
